HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College field hockey team got back on the winning track with a 5-0 victory over visiting Anna Maria College on Thursday evening at Don Melander Field in Henniker, New Hampshire in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 'Grims took the lead 11:39 into the game when NEC freshman forward Martina Hill (Abbot, Maine) scored that was assisted by senior forward Drea Chin (Laconia, N.H.) as the hosts took a 1-0 lead.
- With one second left before halftime, NEC sophomore Meaghan McCamish (Warwick, R.I.) found the back of the net, assisted by senior defender Alivia Proulx (Londonderry, N.H.). The 'Grims went into the break leading 2-0.
- In the 49th minute, Chhin found NEC junior forward Emma LaPierre (Franklin, N.H.) for her second assist of the evening, and the first goal of the season for LaPierre as the Pilgrims took a 3-0 lead.
- With 3:55 remaining in the game, NEC graduate defender Giuliana Kevlin (Laconia, N.H.) scored her second goal of the season to increase the lead to four.
- Finally, with 1:06 left, Hill scored once again assisted by Chin. 5-0 would hold up for the final.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC graduate goalkeeper Jackie Mountford (New London, N.H.) recorded her second shutout of the season.
- Anna Maria senior goalkeeper Hannah Tobey (Falmouth, Mass.) finished with 11 saves in net for the AMCATS.
- Shots were 30-1 in favor of the Pilgrims.
- NEC is now 18-8-0 all-time against Anna Maria.
