FARMINGTON, Maine – The New England College field hockey team won 5-0 at the University of Maine at Farmington on Thursday evening at Prescott Field in Farmington, Maine in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- NEC senior forward Drea Chin (Laconia, N.H.) scored two goals – including the eventual game-winner – with an assist on the day. Chin's 15 goals on the year not only leads the 'Grims, but also the entire NECC as well.
- NEC senior midfielder Mikayla Vincent (Newburyport, Mass.) dished out three assists on the day, tying her for the team-lead with seven. The performance comes just one year and a day after she tallied three assists against Plymouth State on October 19, 2021, thus matching her career-high.
- The 'Grims also had goals from senior midfielder Lilli McCormack (Dexter, Maine), junior midfielder Annalisa Crooks (Nantucket, Mass.) and freshman midfielder Tatum Golis (New Hartford, N.Y.).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC graduate goalkeeper Jackie Mountford (New London, N.H.) won her ninth game of the season for the Pilgrims, playing 30 shutout minutes.
- UMF senior goalkeeper Katelyn Rouleau (Freeport, Maine) finished with nine saves in a heroic effort for the Beavers.
- The 'Grims outshot the Beavers, 21-0.
- NEC is 7-7-1 all-time against Maine-Farmington.
