HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College field hockey team prevailed 7-2 over visiting Nichols College on Tuesday evening at Don Melander Field in Henniker, New Hampshire in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• NEC senior forward Drea Chin (Laconia, N.H.) was dominant for the Pilgrims, putting up a haul of four goals, a career-high for the 2021 All-New England Collegiate Conference striker. All seven of her shots were on-goal. Chin leads the team with 13 goals on the season.
• NEC senior midfielder Mikayla Vincent (Newburyport, Mass.) posted her third hat trick of the season with three goals. The senior trails teammate Drea Chin by just one goal for the team lead.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• NEC graduate goalkeeper Jackie Mountford (New London, N.H.) allowed just one goal over three quarters for the Pilgrims.
• Nichols sophomore goalkeeper Sophia Venable (Troy, N.Y.) posted 11 saves in 40 minutes of action in net.
• Shots were 26-9 in favor of the Pilgrims.
• NEC is now 19-7-2 all-time against Nichols.
