HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One – Lesley University 4, New England College 0
In game one, neither team could get any offense going, as the pitching staff held the bats at bay. It wasn't until the fourth inning when Lesley was able to get on the board, as Ilana Zack had an RBI double to left field to go up 1-0.
In the bottom of the fifth, Mahlia Medina had a two-RBI single, before stealing home later in the inning, pushing the Lynx advantage to 4-0. New England College wasn't able to salvage any offense in game one, as they were only able to have seven singles.
Taylor Barbour took the loss for NEC, as she pitched 7.0 innings, striking out nine, but allowing three earned runs.
Game Two – Lesley University 9 New England College 0 – 5 Innings
Game two was all Lesley, as the Lynx were able to strike three times in the bottom of the first. In the second, the hosts added five more, before picking up one in the fourth to take game two 9-0 in five innings. Rachel Senechal got the lone hit in game two for the Pilgrims, as her single in the top of the third ended the no-hitter for the Lynx.
