Over his four years at New England College, Gillis constantly improved to help set the stage of where NEC men's lacrosse is today. In 72 career games, Gillis tallied 153 goals (fifth all-time), and 54 assists for 207 points (seventh all-time). His junior season, Brian became an offensive force, as he led the team in goals (48) and points (73). In Gillis' final campaign in Henniker, he led the NCAA with 69 goals, while also leading the team with 91 points. His performances his last two seasons, earned him North Atlantic Conference First-Team honor while being named the 2013 NEC Male Athlete of the Year.
