Kirsten Morrison was named the head coach of the New England College women's volleyball program in April 2018. Morrison quickly became the program leader in wins and currently holds 84 career coaching victories following the conclusion of the 2024 season. In her time at NEC, she has led the 'Grims to three NECC Championship appearances, one NECC Semifinals, and two GNAC Play-In Round matchups.

Morrison came to NEC from UMass Boston, where she was an assistant coach for two seasons. She aided the Beacons to a 44-21 overall record with two Little East conference championship titles. In 2016, the team reached the NCAA Regional Semifinal. She previously graduated from UMass Boston in 2015 with a bachelor's in Exercise Health Science.

During her collegiate playing career, Morrison helped the UMB volleyball program to three Little East Conference championship titles and NCAA Regional championships in 2012 and 2013. She ended her college career ranked fifth in school history with 853 kills and third all-time with 277 total blocks. Kirsten also had a very successful playing career as a member of the Beacon's basketball team where she was a 1,000 point scorer, finishing her career third all-time in field goal percentage, fourth in both points and rebounds, and tied for seventh in blocks. In her final year at UMB, Morrison was a member of the UMass-Boston softball team. She was an eight-time All-LEC honoree and was the first female student-athlete in school history to earn All-Conference in three different sports.
