HENNIKER, N.H. - Junior Ethan Cenesca (Manchester, N.H.) of the New England College football team was named the Conference of New England (CNE) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending on September 27th. This marks Cenesca's third weekly honor through the first four weeks of the season.
Cenesca delivered another standout performance against Nichols on Saturday, leading the Pilgrims with a career-high 18 tackles, including 1.5 tackles-for-loss. His 18 tackles rank him first in the modern-era program record book for tackles in a single game.
The junior captain currently leads the CNE in tackles and tackles-for-loss after four weeks. His 52 total stops are 15 more than any other player in the conference, and his 9.5 tackles-for-loss are 1.5 more than the next highest mark.
Ethan and the 'Grims travel to Milton, Mass on Saturday to take on Curry at 12:00 PM.
