HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College athletics department produced another strong academic semester, excelling with a departmental grade-point average of 3.36 for the Spring term.
70 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA this Spring, while 215 student-athletes recorded a 3.5 GPA or higher, accounting for 55% of the college's student-athlete population. A remarkable 77% of students met or exceeded a 3.0 grade-point average.
19 of the Pilgrims athletic programs exceeded a 3.0 grade point average. Men's ice hockey led all NEC teams with a 3.76 GPA, followed closely behind by men's golf who posted a 3.75. Field hockey had the highest-grade point average across women's teams with a 3.71. Women's ice hockey and women's lacrosse rounded out the top five as each squad earned a 3.66 GPA this Spring.
