MANCHESTER, N.H. - The New England College track & field team competed in the Ed Daniels Classic hosted by Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday, marking the end of the team's pre-varsity season.
On her second attempt in the women's long jump, senior Vic Johnson (Troy, N.Y.) set a school record with a long of 4.49 meters – good for 18th overall. Johnson also led the team in the women's 100-meter dash, followed closely behind by freshman Cloe Marks (Pembroke, N.H.) and freshman Delana Fausett (Orange, Mass.).
Junior Amanda Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.) competed in the women's 1500-meter run, finishing in 33rd place with a time of 6:11.70 while freshman Skylar Simpson (Prospect, Conn.) crossed four spots behind.
Freshman Oscar Keresey (Pittsfield, Maine) and junior Anthony Dibattista (Merrimack, N.H.) each competed in both the men's 100-meter dash and the 400-meter race. Sophomore Ryan Weidman (Weare, N.H.) raced in the 1500-meters to end the day.
The Pilgrims will now look ahead to the 2026-2027 campaign – their first official season back in action in 11 years.
