HOOKSETT, N.H. - The New England College track and field team continued their 2026 pre-varsity schedule at the Southern New Hampshire Spring Opener on Thursday at Mark A. Oullette Stadium.
NEC sophomore Trevor Peal (Crown Poind, Ind.) doubled up in the 100 and 200, running a 11.78 in the 100-meters and then placing 17th with a 23.64 in the 200-meters.
Freshman Oscar Keresey (Pittsfield, Maine) and junior Terrance Graham (Kent, Wash.) both competed in multiple events, one of which was the javelin throw where Keresey finished 12th at 26.96 meters and Graham placed 14th with a long of 26.14 meters.
Junior Kalie Villagomez (Wichita, Kan.) led the Pilgrims in the women's 100-meter, finishing in 23rd of 45 competitors with a time of 13.62. Senior Vic Johnson (Troy, N.Y.) placed 31st with a 13.80.
In the women's 100-meter hurdles, sophomore Sophia Lapointe (Salem, N.H.) set a school record with a 17.72 - placing seventh amongst the field.
In the long jump, Villagomez and Johnson finished in 21st and 22nd place with distances of 4.50 meters and 4.46 meters, respectively.
Villagomez, Johnson, Lapointe, and junior Amanda Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.) would later team up for the 4x400 relay, finishing in 4:52.11.
The Pilgrims will head back to Mark A. Oullette Stadium on April 11th for the Ed Daniels Classic in what will be the team's final competition of the season.
