HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College Women's Basketball took down GNAC opponent Colby-Sawyer College by a score of 76-57 on Tuesday night. The Pilgrims improve their record to 11-5 overall and 2-2 within conference play.

Both teams traded scores until it was 12-12 just under five minutes into the game. Senior Mackenzie McDonald (Boscawen, N.H.) scored the first five of her 13 total points in that stretch while Colby-Sawyer's Elyza Mitchell matched her in that same span. From there, the Pilgrims extended their lead to six before the Chargers brought it down to two to close the first quarter. A lower-scoring second quarter saw junior Xitlali Montesino (Watsonville, Calif.) score five consecutive points as the Pilgrims brought a 39-28 lead into the half.

The second half started with a 16-2 run which included a four-point play from McDonald and seven points from junior Jayden Estrada (La Mirada, Calif.). Junior Camryn Lewis (Taunton, Mass.) led a 7-0 run to start the fourth quarter as she scored four points within 53 seconds. The Pilgrims were able to keep the lead and roll to a conference victory.

Lewis led the Pilgrims with 14 points as McDonald followed with 13. Estrada and junior Bailey Burke (New Bedford, Mass.) followed with nine apiece. Montesino, sophomore Kaira Creary (Federal Way, Wash.), and junior Nyah Belton (Colton, Calif.) all scored seven.
