Winters added another kill to cap off a 25-13 set win for NEC.

Norwich started the second set with a 5-2 lead before a service ace from graduate Alexandra Seijas-Quea (Fort Myers, Fla.) started a run for the Pilgrims. Seijas-Quea, Saner, and Placencio each scored kills as NEC jumped ahead 19-11. Montgomery and Winters joined in before a kill from Saner closed the set to give the Pilgrims a 2-0 set lead.

The Cadets jumped to an 8-3 lead in the third set before senior Jamie Hansen (New Underwood, S.D.) scored a kill. A service ace from Gutierrez-Macias started a run where the Pilgrims tied the set off kills from Saner and junior Tyra Kelly (Fresno, Calif.). The Pilgrims kept the run going to cap off the three-set sweep.

Saner led the Pilgrims with 11 kills while Kelly scored five, and Winters and Placencio each got four. Seijas-Quea and Gutierrez-Macias combined for 27 assists with 14 and 13, respectively along with four service aces apiece.
