PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The New England College Women's Volleyball team (2-5) fell to the Plymouth State University Panthers three sets to zero on Thursday night.
The Panthers jumped out to a three-point lead in the first set before the Pilgrims were able to battle to make it a 6-6 tie off kills from junior Tyra Kelly (Fresno, Calif.) and freshman Teagan Saner (Plains, Mont.). Plymouth State went on a 19-10 run off kills from an ensemble of Panthers to finish the set.
The second set started with the Panthers jumping out to a 5-2 lead. Kelly registered another kill for the Pilgrims before Plymouth State scored ten straight points. The Panthers continued the run to finish the set with two Kelly kills in between.
Plymouth State continued to put the pressure on the Pilgrims as they closed out the third set with a 25-8 score to complete the sweep.
