HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College Department of Athletics has named Mary Thoms as Athletic Communications Assistant.
Mary is a recent graduate from Colby-Sawyer College, having spent the last five years in nearby New London, New Hampshire. Mary graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and Business Administration in 2024 and earned her Master of Business Administration degree in 2025.
While still an undergraduate in 2024, Mary spent time as an Athletic Communications intern for the Chargers, participating in gameday operations and other daily tasks. She spent one more year at Colby-Sawyer as an Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant.
"I'm excited to step into this new role and extremely thankful to Corey [Davis] and David [DeCew] for the opportunity. I look forward to contributing to the department's continued growth and success."
Thoms was heavily involved in her time at Colby-Sawyer, having been a member of the school's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Vice President of the Sport Management Club. Mary was a five-year member of the Chargers women's tennis team who won four consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championships. She was a co-captain for the 2023-24 season, was named the GNAC Tournament MVP in 2023, and was named the Wynne Jesser McGrew Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2024.
