HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College men's lacrosse team lost 14-8 to visiting Lasell University in a non-conference match against a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent on Thursday evening at Don Melander Field in Henniker, New Hampshire.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lasell took a 7-3 into halftime, then opened up the third quarter with three consecutive goals to pull away. The Pilgrims matched them in the fourth quarter with both teams scoring three goals apiece, but they were unable to close the gap.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC junior midfielder Daniel Varga (Hampton, N.J.) finished with two goals and two assists for the 'Grims, giving him 90 points on the season. With one game to go in the regular season, Varga has cracked the NEC top ten list for points in a season and is currently ranked seventh all-time for points per game in a season.
- Lasell senior attacker Ryan Stone (Granby, Conn.) led the Lasers with four goals and two assists with five ground balls.
- NEC senior attacker Henri Pfeifle (Darien, Conn.) and sophomore attacker Duncan Fleming (St. Paul, Minn.) each had two goals and one assist.
- Lasell freshman attacker Jack Condon (Atkinson, N.H.) added three goals and an assist.
- NEC sophomore goalkeeper Nate Finn (Norwood, Mass.) finished with 12 saves in a strong effort.
- Lasell senior goalkeeper Michael Catalano (Norwood, Mass.) posted ten saves.
UP NEXT
- NEC is back on the field on Wednesday when they conclude their regular season with a trip to St. Joseph's College for a 4:00 p.m.
- Lasell hosts Regis on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
