HOW IT HAPPENED

- Deep into the second period, passes from sophomore forward Sofia Gualtieri (Montreal, Quebec) and sophomore forward Samantha Babbitt (Weathersfield, Vt.) left the puck in the possession of junior defender Jordan Pond (Gardner, Mass.). Pond, skating in from the back line in the Pilgrims' offensive zone, fired off a shot that snuck past the Rams goaltender to give the 'Grims a 2-0 lead with 7:10 left in the period.

Later in the period, Sarah Lewis (Emyvale, P.E.I) scored the equalizer with 6:48 left in the game to eventually force overtime.
