Men's Basketball Opens Season Against Plymouth State

HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College Men's Basketball fell to Plymouth State to open the 2025-26 season in a 96-56 loss on Friday night.

After starting the game with a three from sophomore Josh Robie (Bethlehem, N.H.) and a layup from sophomore Ryan Cuvier (Tewksbury, Mass.), senior Kenray Emadamerho (Manchester, N.H.) added a jumper to give the Pilgrims an early 7-3 lead. After that, the Panthers led a 28-2 run to go into the second ten minutes of the opening frame. NEC would double their points with a stretch highlighted by an Emadamerho three-pointer to go into the half down 24.

A Panther-dominated second half was highlighted by four threes from Robie. He finished with a game-high 19 points with two rebounds. Junior Mike Strazzeri (Chichester, N.H.) was the second highest on the team with eight points and three rebounds.

Cuvier led the Pilgrims with eight rebounds as sophomore Luke Montejo (Tewksbury, Mass.) followed with five.

The Pilgrims are back in action on Monday night as they travel to Milton, Massachusetts to take on the Curry College Colonels at 7:30 PM.
