HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College Women's Hockey picked up an overtime win in a Little East Conference thriller over Keene State College on Friday. 

After a scoreless first period, the Owls struck first as Brianna Fink snuck a shot past sophomore goalie Kayden Lallier-Whissell (Stevensville, Ont.) just 1:06 into the second frame. After multiple attempts from both teams, Keene State struck again as Emma McNeil took a pass from Loreli Norman to extend the Owls lead to two goals heading into the third. 

After multiple shots from a relentless Pilgrims offense, senior Meadow Gilchrist (Stamford, Conn.) found the back of the net to get the Owls lead to one with sophomore Jamie Blondin (Oakville, Ont.) getting the assist. 

Not even 30 seconds later, freshman Carol Lenig (El Paso, Tex.) and junior Samantha Babbitt (Weathersfield, Vt.) assisted on a goal from junior Alexis Hornsby (Atkinson, N.H.) to tie the game with just under seven minutes left to force overtime. 

Gilchrist and Hornsby started overtime with quick shots in the first 40 seconds that were both saved by Owls goalie Abby Tanner. Hornsby came up with a steal at the blue line and barged towards Tanner to score the game-winner and complete the comeback. 

Gilchrist, Hornsby, and freshman Molly Jones (Golden, Colo.) combined for 18 shots on goal with six apiece. Hornsby won 18 of the 26 faceoffs she took. 

Lallier-Whissell made 33 saves on 35 shots faced in the win.
