HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College football team suffered a home loss to Curry College on Saturday. At halftime, as part of Fall Festival weekend, the NEC athletic department honored their 2025-26 hall of fame class.
The Curry Colonels took control of the game from the opening possession and never looked back, building a 34-0 lead at the half. Poised to move to 3-1 on the season, the visitors added to their lead in the second half with four more touchdowns to go up 62-0.
The Pilgrims offense struggled to get going this afternoon until their final drive of the game. After piecing together a first down, sophomore Fire Anderson (Cranford, N.J.) took a first-down carry for 49 yards to the Curry 15-yard line. Three plays later, sophomore Jack Lombardo (Medford, Mass.) found freshman Spencer Brien (Plaistow, N.H.) out wide and Brien did the rest and plunged into the end zone for his first career touchdown.
The Pilgrims will now get an opportunity to heal up as they enter their bye week. They resume CNE action on Saturday, October 18th, as they travel to Bangor, Maine for a matchup against Husson University.
