NEW LONDON, N.H. – The New England College baseball team lost 8-2 at Colby-Sawyer College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Monday afternoon at Kelsey Baseball Field in New London, New Hampshire.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- NEC graduate first baseman Tyler Gendron (Milford, N.H.) got the 'Grims ahead in the top of the first, hitting an RBI sac fly to drive in junior designated hitter Brady Philibotte (Weare, N.H.), giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.
- Down 3-1 in the top of the fifth, NEC graduate right fielder Bryce Worth (Southington, Conn.) singled through the left side, plating freshman centerfielder Jason Figuereo (Lynn, Mass.) and pulling the Pilgrims to within one.
- That was as close as the visitors would come, however, as the Chargers closed out the game with five unanswered runs.
- NEC graduate catcher Aaron Robertson (Weare, N.H.) went two-of-four with a double and a stolen base while Figuereo posted two hits, a walk and a stolen base.
- Colby-Sawyer freshman third baseman Sean Roeger (Salem, N.H.) posted three hits with four runs batted in to lead the Chargers.
- CSC sophomore pitcher Will Carpenter (Medfield, Mass.) picked up the win, allowing just two earned runs over seven innings with four strikeouts.
