HOW IT HAPPENED
- The scoring in this game commenced right away in the first inning of action with the Warriors taking a 2-0 lead after senior outfielder Josh Cofrancesco (Southington, CT) tripled off of his at bat bringing in senior infielder Zach Donahue (South Windsor, CT) in for the run then with senior infielder Ryan Parent (Southington, CT) advancing Cofrancesco on third to run across the home plate from his single.
- NEC managed to get some momentum going in the fourth inning as senior infielder Johnny Cannavo (Weymouth, Mass.) singled into left field that advanced graduate infielder Tyler Gendron (Milford, N.H.) to second after being dealt a hit by pitch but the inning concluded with the 'Grims unable to score.
- The Warriors offense didn't let up allowing another two runs to come in for them to take the 6-0 lead going into the fifth inning.
- NEC sophomore outfielder Harold Martinez (Wethersfield, Conn.) smacked a single into left field that found himself on base followed up by junior infielder Brady Philibotte (Weare, N.H.) making contact with the ball for a single in the fifth having two 'Grims on base that amounted to the team still not finding an answer to get on the scoreboard.
- ECSU's onslaught continued throughout the remaining innings scoring another 13 runs with the Warriors being the victors on the day.
