HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's basketball team won 78-62 against visiting Johnson & Wales University on Saturday afternoon at the Bridges Gymnasium in Henniker, New Hampshire in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

TURNING POINTS
- Clinging to a 40-36 lead at halftime, the 'Grims dominated the third quarter, claiming a 26-9 edge in the frame behind NEC senior guard Alissia Corona's (Wylie, Tex.) two three-pointers and four assists. The Wildcats were never able to close to within single digits again.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC senior center Kathleen Rodriguez (McFarland, Calif.), playing in what may be the final home game of her Pilgrim career, led the way with 21 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
- JWU freshman guard Alexa Lora (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) led the Wildcats with 23 points, shooting five of seven from behind the arc.
- NEC sophomore guard Makiah Scott (Washington, D.C.) dished out a career-high eight assists with seven points, four rebounds and three steals.
- JWU senior center Peyton Oliver (Ramsey, N.J.) contributed 17 points with six rebounds and four assists.
- NEC junior guard Amya Moss (Norfolk, Va.) posted one of her best games of the season, shooting four-of-four from behind the arc and scoring 17 points.
- NEC sophomore guard Mackenzie McDonald (Boscawen, N.H.) posted eight points and eight rebounds.
- The Pilgrims enjoyed a definitive 37-6 edge in points off the bench.
SENIOR DAY
- Prior to the game, the New England College women's basketball program and the NEC athletics department recognized this year's senior class as part of senior day. The class of Rodriguez, guard Sierra Gamble (Houston, Tex.), guard Alissia Corona (Wylie, Tex.), guard Juliana Hernandez (McFarland, Calif.) and guard Lara Matias (Long Beach, Calif.) were honored by coaches, teammates, family members and fans for all of their accomplishments at NEC both on and off the court. Although their time with the program may be coming to an end, they will forever be a part of the 'Grims family.
