Men’s Ice Hockey Falls to Panthers

HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College men's ice hockey team lost 5-1 against visiting Plymouth State University on Saturday evening at Lee Clement Arena in Henniker, New Hampshire in non-conference action.

THE BASICS
Score:                  Plymouth State 5, New England College 1
Records:              Pilgrims 0-2 | Panthers 1-2

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Down 1-0 late in the first period, NEC sophomore center Paul Waldhauser (Klagenfurt, Austria) got the Pilgrims on the board with his first goal of the season with 4:41 to go with an assist to senior forward David Novotny (Boca Raton, Fla.), tying the game up going into the first intermission.
  • The second period cost the hosts dearly as the Panthers scored three unanswered goals. After Plymouth State junior forward Will Redick (Collingwood, Ont.) scored his second goal of the game to give the visitors the lead back, sophomore forward Andrew Stuckless (Conception Bay South, N.L.) and sophomore forward Will Pray (Prague, Czech Rep.) both found the back of the net, giving the Panthers a 4-1 lead. An insurance goal from senior forward Cam Patton (Bible Hill, N.S.) in the third put the game away.
