NEW LONDON, Conn. – The New England College baseball saw its season come to a close following a pair of losses on Saturday in New London, Connecticut in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) baseball tournament. After defeating Eastern Nazarene College on Friday to open tournament play, NEC took the loss to No. 1 seeded Mitchell College on Saturday afternoon. Sent to the loser's bracket, it was a Saturday evening rematch with Eastern Nazarene College, and this time the Lions came out on top, defeating the Pilgrims 8-1.

TOP 'GRIMS:
- Senior outfielder Luca Giallongo (Mt. Shasta, Calif.) went three-for-four with a double, and scored both NEC runs in the loss.
- Pilgrims sophomore shortstop Brady Philibotte (Weare, N.H.) plated a pair of runs on two sacrifice flies.

Score: New England College 1, Eastern Nazarene College 8

TOP 'GRIMS:
- Philibotte went one-for-four with an RBI double, driving in all three runs on the day.
- Giallongo went two-for-four with a pair of singles, a run scored, and a stolen base.
- Senior catcher Aaron Robertson (Weare, N.H.) went two-for-three.
- Sophomore Corey O'Day (Nashua, N.H.) and senior Alex Perez (Leominster, Mass.) combined for three scoreless innings and four strikeouts out of the bullpen.
