Women’s Volleyball ends Season in GNAC Playoffs

HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's volleyball team saw their 2023 season come to an end on Monday evening at Bridges Gymnasium in Henniker, New Hampshire, losing a heart-breaking five-set battle to visiting University of Saint Joseph in the Play-In round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship Tournament.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • NEC senior middle-blocker Tatiana Sampson (Kailua, Hawaii), playing in the final match of her storied career, posted a dominant performance with a season-high 13 kills, three total blocks, seven digs and a service ace, all while hitting at a .440 clip. Sampson finishes her career as the Pilgrims' all-time leader in career blocks.
  • Senior outside hitter Renee McBride-Rogers (Midwest City, Okla.) concludes her career with seven kills and five total blocks.
  • Junior outside hitter Savannah Pilialoha (Waipahu, Hawaii) posted ten kills on the night.
  • Sophomore setter Aurora Gutierrez-Macias (El Paso, Tex.) setup the offense with 19 set assists, three service aces and 18 digs.
  • Freshman libero Alyssa Dunbar-Molina (El Paso, Tex.) posted the best match of her rookie season, finishing with a career-high 23 digs to go along with four aces and seven assists.
  • USJ senior middle-blocker Victoria Adler (Berlin, Conn.) led the Blue Jays with ten kills and nine total blocks.
