Box Score SOUTH HADLEY, MA – The New England College women's basketball team came away with a 54-45 victory against Mount Holyoke College on Wednesday at Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium in South Hadley, Maine.

TURNING POINTS
- Things looked great for the Pilgrims from a defensive standpoint, only allowing nine points to be scored from the opposing Lyons going into halftime.
- The Lyons didn't seem to let that discourage them and kept fighting in the second half of the game as they put together 36 points, even getting the better on the Pilgrims in the fourth quarter outscoring them, 28-9. Fortunately, NEC hung in there despite the efforts displayed by MHC that earned the team their second win of the season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC senior center Kathleen Rodriguez (McFarland, Calif.) did her part for the team concluding the game with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
- NEC senior guard Juliana Hernandez (McFarland, Calif.) contributed with eight boards.
- NEC sophomore guard Macy Gordon (Boscawen, N.H.) added 10 points during her outing for the Pilgrims.
- MHC freshman center Emma Goff (Cohasset, Mass.) was the team leader finishing with 13 points and eight rebounds.
- MHC sophomore guard Libby Harris (Foxborough, Mass.) followed up with 11 points.

- Up next for NEC, the team will continue on the road as they face Colby College in the Colby Tip-Off Classic on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
- MHC will be at Johnson and Wales University on Saturday at 12:00 PM.
