Giallongo has posted a breakthrough senior season, as the leadoff hitter for the Pilgrims has posted 20 hits with ten RBI and eight stolen bases for NEC. Giallongo earned NECC Player of the Week honors for the week ending April 23^rd.

"Luca's been a spark plug for us as he's gotten going this month." Head coach Terry Doyle. "The energy he supplies the team by getting on base and stealing bases has really helped us collect some important wins getting ready for the playoffs. As Luca goes, so go the 'Grims."
