Aguiar becomes the first member of the NEC esports program to be named Pilgrim of the Month, after he most recently led the school’s Rainbow Six Siege team to an NECC Division VI Nationals Championship earlier this month. Aguiar, who captained the winning group of five, helped the #7 seeded Pilgrims to a magical postseason run with wins over #2 seed Holy Cross, #3 seed Northern Iowa, and #1 seed Central Methodist. In the championship match, Aguiar led the team with 55 eliminations and 15 assists. This success came on the heels of Aguiar helping NEC Valorant win their third consecutive NECC Division VII in April and earning the top seed in the corresponding national tournament. Â
