HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College Athletics Department has named graduate midfielder Mikayla Vincent of the NEC field hockey team their Female Pilgrim of the Month for the month of October 2023.

Vincent stepped up for the ‘Grims as they entered a critical stretch of their schedule, scoring 12 goals and making nine assists – leading the team to a 9-1 record in October. She had three multi-goal games, headlined by a four-goal effort in a win over Elms on October 21^st. Perhaps her most impactful goal of the season was against Simmons in the team’s 2-1 quarterfinal victory on October 28^th. The graduate student also had three multi-assist showings, including assisting on all three goals scored in a 3-0 win against St. Joseph’s (ME) on October 14^th.

“Mikayla went to another level this season; she worked so hard on both sides of the ball,” said Head Coach Carly Sweeney. “She had moments where she knew the team needed her and she performed lights out.”
