Lockett was hired as the Strenth and Conditioning Director in 2024.  He holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from King University '22 and a M.S. in Applied Sport Science and Coach Education from East Tennessee State University '24.  His prior experience before coming to NEC includes serving as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Mens and Womens Soccer at Milligan University and serving as a Strength and Conditioning Intern for the University of Tennessee Football team during the summer of 2022.  Coach Lockett is in charge of all aspects of strength and conditioning training for the sports teams at NEC.  Stephen brings an approach based in block periodization in order that athletes increase their strength, power, muscle mass, and endurance. This ensures athletes can develop and better perform their sport.
