HENNIKER, N.H. – Juniors Boburjon Berdiyorov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) and Zach Soda (Burlington, Mass.) of the New England College men's wrestling team were voted to the New England Wrestling Association All-Conference team in an announcement by the association on Thursday. The duo helped lead NEC to the best season in program history, including an eighth-place finish in the NCAA Regionals.

Berdiyorov – a midseason transfer from Northwest College – was voted Second Team All-NEWA after joining the Pilgrims in January and going 14-5 for NEC, producing a 3-1 at the NCAA Regionals for second place and qualifying for the NCAA Championships at the 141-pound level.

Soda was likewise voted Second Team All-NEWA after going 25-12 for the Pilgrims, qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 149-pound level and winning three matches at Regionals. Soda was earlier named Pilgrim of the Month for November after a brilliant 9-3 record to open the season.

NEC graduate Chris DeRosa (Billerica, Mass.) and junior John Lafferty (Woburn, Mass.) both received NEWA Honorable Mention accolades.

In addition, seven Pilgrims earned NEWA All-Academic Team accolades, as seniors Malik Keresey (Pittsfield, Maine), Adam Presa (Merrimack, N.H.), Maxwell Ross (Owings Mills, Md.), junior Wyatt Gentile (Sunset Beach, N.C.) and freshman Michael Follo (Derry, N.H.) joined DeRosa and Lafferty for their dedication and commitment in the classroom.
